MedChi Physician of the Day, Maryland State House
MedChi asked me to serve as Physician of the Day during the 2026 General Assembly session. I spent the day in the State House First Aid Room in Annapolis, on call for legislators, staff, and visitors. It is a small role in a program that has run for more than 30 years, and I was glad to fill it.

Washingtonian’s 500 Most Influential Celebration
I joined Washingtonian’s celebration of the leaders shaping our region, there to cheer on my sister’s recognition. It was a few months before I opened the practice, and a good reminder of how many people here are working to make this community better.
